British boxer Anthony Joshua Discharged from Hospital in Nigeria Following Fatal Car Crash

The British boxer Anthony Joshua has been released from care, Nigerian authorities stated on late Wednesday. The fighter was caught in a vehicular crash in the Lagos area on Monday, a devastating event that resulted in the deaths of two of his close associates.

Recovering from Minor Injuries

The sports star had been receiving medical attention while healing from his light wounds, representatives stated earlier on Monday. A government official, Gbenga Omotoso, said in a statement on X that Joshua was declared medically stable to continue his recovery at home.

“The boxer and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to say their last goodbyes to his two departed friends as they were being readied to be sent home,” Omotosho said.

A Tribute to the Fallen

The victims of the crash were identified as Latif Ayodele, a personal trainer, and Sina Ghami, a performance coach. It was also noted that the champion was filled with sorrow and deeply emotional over the passing of his two dear friends.”

The news of his discharge arrives after the boxing community offered its support for the fighter in the following the heartbreaking incident.
