I will stamp all over 'credible boxer' Paul - Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters met personally to build hype for next month's bout.
Ex two-time world title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I will injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
In spite of these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving huge paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Size Disparity
As both boxers participated in the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly happening.
