Marnus Labuschagne Left Out from Australian ODI Team Versus India
The Australian selectors have left out Labuschagne from the three-match ODI series against India, as high-performing Queensland colleague Matt Renshaw earning a unexpected call-up.
Performance Issues Result in Omission
The right-hander was left out from the ODI squad following managing only a single run in both of his innings during the top-end series against South Africa in August. He has a top score of 47 in his last 10 ODI batting appearances.
The 31-year-old has featured in 68 ODIs and amassed 1,871 ODI runs at an batting average of 34.64, but will now continue to press his claims a Test team comeback in time for the Ashes starting in Perth on November 21.
Renshaw's Return and Other Squad Updates

“The bulk of the T20 squad will remain together as it’s an important period in the build towards the T20 World Cup next year, however we are aiming to find equilibrium to ensure we simultaneously prepare specific players for the Test matches ahead.”
Australia’s three-game ODI series against India commences on 19 October in Perth, before the opponents play five T20 internationals from 29 October.
